What was Jackie thinking in cat case?

   $10,000 - that’s approximately how much it cost to prosecute the woman who pierced her cat.
   First, I love animals.
   Growing up in West Pittston, we had a dog and a cat.
   But the circus in the Luzerne County Courthouse this past week prosecuting this was outrageous.
   With how our courts are backed up, I am absolutely amazed that our District Attorney, Jackie Musto-Carroll, allowed this to proceed.
   The only thing I can figure out is that she is so blinded by her aspirations to become judge, she feared special interests groups like PETA.
   Two representatives for the fringe group testified at the trial.
   Like I said ten grand was spent on the trial:  A judge, two from the judges office, two assistant district attorneys, 12 jurors, 2 alternate jurors,  30 potential jurors from the jury pool, a stenographer, 2 sheriffs, a police office who was pulled off the street and couldn’t fight murders and rapists, etc
   Get the picture.
   Let’s do a thing I learned from Glen Beck called “compare and contrast.”
   It’s criminal to pierce a cat’s ear.
   It’s not criminal to pierce a baby’s ear.
   It’s criminal to pierce a cat’s ear.
   It’s not criminal to cut back the ears on a dog.
   It’s criminal to cut back a cat’s tail.
   It’s not criminal to circumcise a new born baby.
   It’s criminal to cut back a cat’s tail.
   It’s not criminal to cut back a dog’s tail.
   Here’s a question I would have liked to ask the representative’s from PETA:  While you feel it’s criminal and inhumane to pierce a cat’s ear, do you also feel it’s criminal and inhumane to perform a partial birth abortion on a “fetus (as you would like to refer to a baby as)” 8 ½ months into a pregnancy.
   This whole thing is just complete and utter bull crap – PERIOD.

Since no one cares about animals on this site I find it appropriate to comment on the DA's picture posted here. Joe V. where on gods earth did you dig up one of the most unflattering pictures of our DA ever taken.
This is cruel and unusual punishment for the readers of the site and you should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please take it down or move it to the last article so that we don't have to scroll beyond it. I showed my cat this picture and it howled in pain.
