| PittstonPolitics.com hits new record |

Back in September, when I stopped writing for the Dispatch and started PittstonPolitics.com, quite a few would come up to me and ask “What happened to your column ?”
Now, when I’m out and about, too many to count, come up to me and say, “I love your web site.”
Many times, someone who I have never met before will make eye contact with me from across the room, make a bee line over and say, “Mr. Valenti, I’m glad to meet you. Your web site is now on ‘my favorites.’ I got to it every day.”
As you can see from the tally below, PittstonPolitics.com hit a new record with over 40,000 hits/visits. Please note the report from google below.
This past week we nearly hit 12,000
I only have one word to say – WOW!
Last week hit a new weekly record with nearly 12,000 hits/visits.
Again, one word – WOW!
When I first started, I was hoping to get a couple two tree thousand.
As stated in previous columns, and to put this into perspective, please keep in mind the Sunday Dispatch reports a circulation number of around 8,500.
This, however, has also turned into a double edge sword for me personally. What started out to be a three hour a week hobby, has turned into a 40 hour week full time job.
I’m not complaining because I enjoy the sport of politics almost as I enjoy playing a round of golf with Jim Zarra. Eighteen holes with Zarra is more entertainment than one can handle in three hours.
Anyway, the reason for our success is because of you – our loyal readers – and bloggers. And, that is much appreciated.
This is more your web site than it is mine.
You may not agree with the way I run it – especially when not approving blogs/posts.
Many of you think I favor the other side. And, I get quite a bit of hate mail from all the different factions.
Oh well, thank you again and we’ll catch you out there.

Are those 40,835 different people or 1317 people each visiting every day? "Visits" is sort of vague. I would like to know how many actual DIFFERENT people visited the site last month.

Google's tracking software does not provide that type of detail. And, I'm not aware of tracking software that provides that type of reporting. I can tell you that a visit/hit is just that.

Joe, I didn't mean to label all the writers at the Dispatch clowns, only 1 thats the opposite of frowns...:)
