I hope from now on, no matter what the position being applied for: gone are the days of benefits for life; if you don't use sick time you lose it! pay for your own tuition to improve yourself, just like most other taxpayers. get rid of milage reimbursement for traveling to take their classes. There should be videos in all class rooms with random viewing to audit how a teacher is teaching and how they treat all students! From the super to the maintenance man! No one is worth unlimited and accumutlated benefits. Taxpayers cannot afford it.

makitrite has it right, the burden is passed to the taxpayers, particularly each of the last five years, as well as a little extra this past year! Look at the facts for yourself, do we really need to vote for those on the current board running for re-election? My response is no, vote to make a difference in 2013!

I plan on running for school board.

Well, I hope you don't follow the "same as usual" philosophy like all the other politicians from the Commander and Chief to the local governments including School Board Politics. Stand up for what is right and best for all of the people you represent; not what is best for getting you further or your friends and family into positions they are not the best candidates for.

I go against everything that "Bernardi's Clan" stand for. No friends, no family members get jobs. Cuts will be made and will start with teachers paying into their benefits. Long, long over due. Next is to over haul Cassarella and Bernardi. Two are velcroed and need to be separated along with a others on the board. Also useless do nothing secretaries that sit all day when one can do the job of two. Gone.

markitrite, that why you have to vote for change now! Do you really think those serving on the current board have been making the right decisions the last 4 or 8 years. Attend the board meetings and the work sessions, and see for yourself!

Petrov, if you kept your mouth shut after you said you were running for school board, I would have voted for you......but now after you opened your mouth and proved to me and others that you have a personal vendetta against Bernardi, Cassarella, Wyoming Area and the teachers who teach my kids, I changed my mind. Believe me, I am probably the BIGGEST fan of the Anti-Bernadri group, well besides Joe V, and I believe that teachers should pay for their benefits but you come out of the box with all this hatred and you think that your going to solve the Wyoming Area's problem in one day because your gonna run for school board......please not happening. Sit back and sip on a cold one bud!!

Dear WA-Alumni
I am so glad you have so much money to shell out on teachers who will not budge an inch to pay into their benefits. I have no personal vendetta against anyone -A(but your getting their pal) you can't see the forest from the trees. I see WHERE the money is wasted. Don't you? Hey how about Amico? Was that not waste? Your too quick with your mouth to spout off before you think. Now today in the newspapers - teachers are crying they have no books because of budget. Teacher Dolman says "I have to duct tape books!" Well well well. If Teacher Dolman and the rest of the WA teachers weren't so greedy, and paid into their benefits like --hey even Geisinger docs do-- there would be money for books and supplies. I highly doubt that these group of teachers would put a dime down on Ebay and pay shipping for anything that didn't contribute to their pockets. If these teachers cared about your kids, they would negotiate a contract - pay into their benefits - and give the district some breathing room so your kids and other parents children can have supplies. You are a very angry person and I would wonder how you treat your children if they should step out of line. OUCH. And no I don't drink so don't think drinking is the cure all.
And you shouldn't be drinking in front of your children.
Do the math, the Democrats are desparate now. Looking for anything to put on the table for November to run on. Their president in the WH is putting the US in a worse position than the country of Greece. But they have a plan. Do they? Let me ask you this, if a Democrat is elected into office will they find the money hiding somewhere that Corbett couldn't find? Maybe Eddie Day Pashinski has it stuck in his long ago rock and roll band bango. Maybe Bob Boyer has it stuck in his T-Fal cookware? Ya think????
It is not going to get better. Because there is no money. Something has to give and it has to start with teachers salaries, benefits and most of all...get rid of these board members who stick like Cottonelle to Bernardi. That means vote them out of office. Your vote is power. Whether I run, or not. I don't care if you vote for me. I will still run - granted you won't know me when I knock on your door should I go house to house. I never said I would solve the problems in one day. You did. You think Bolin and Cassarella care about you? You think the teachers care about you? Teacher Dolman and the rest don't.
That was a nice sob story put in the paper to pull on taxpayers hearts. NOT working here. What they are worried about is their next pay.
They are worried about how to divvy up their next paycheck, how much goes into their savings account when they deposit just enough to pay their bills. The rest is in savings. And that WA-Alumni--you can take to the bank.
Now now.. calm down. Your acting like Cassarella at a board meeting that goes awry.

You are right Petrov, why can't we just hire an uneducated workforce to educate our children and pay them minimum wage? Not only would we save money but we could all sound like you. I don't believe it would be difficult to determine who you were if you ran for school director........you actually sound very much like Campenni before she actually got any power. Blah, Blahh, then nothing. Ok, maybe they interviewed the wrong teacher in the paper, she did miss the point but, but reread what you have written, you are very bitter and did I mention, clearly distraught from your past. (it happens to the best of us). :)
