Since Matt Cartwright’s trouncing victory over sitting Congressman Tim Holden, all the political pundits in the mainstream media have been saying the district wanted a liberal congressman.
Well, I hate to rain on their parade but nothing could be further than the truth.
For example, my friend Kevin Bluam in The Times Leader opined “On the issues Cartwright was strong. Be it jobs, our regional economy, health insurance for pre-existing conditions or coverage for young adults in their early 20s unable to find affordable health insurance on their own, Cartwright was standing up and speaking out. There was no misinterpreting his meaning.”
