O'Brien & Kanjorski
The Kanjo - O'Brien triple top secret deal
The theory I’m about to explain may have most of you thinkin’ I’ve been smokin’ crack.
Remember when Congressman Paul Kanjorski beat Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta?
Barletta won Luzerne County and I believe he was up until Lackawanna County’s numbers came in.
Kanjo won Lackawanna County by (I think) 13,000 votes.
We wrote here Kanjo cut a deal with Lackawanna County Commissioner Corey O’Brien.  That deal being O’Brien would deliver Lackawanna County and O’Brien would be next in line to succeed Kanjo. Read More ...

Who will pay for the flaw in PA's building project?

Who’s going to end up paying for the botched up HVAC system in the Pittston Area building project? (between you and me, you, the taxpayers, are the one who are going to pay)

Bob Lampman & Bill Goldsworhty
Goldy is "Gold Jerry, Gold"
Hey Bob Lampman, in the words of the Soup Nazi, “No more soup for you.”
   And, that includes fruit baskets.
   Why?
Because Goldy is “Gold Jerry, gold.”

Pat Patte's Sports Bar
Who'll get all that action
If you’re still wondering why the feds finally busted Pat Patte’s Sport Bar, I finally figured it out.
Who’s going to get all that action now?
   Mohegan Sun.
You see, with the economy in the crapper, tax revenues are in the crapper as well.
Well, considering the amount of cash that flowed thru Pat Patte’s place, all that action now has to go to Mohegan Sun.
Thus, into the coffers of the government. Read More ...

Samantha Scialpi & Amy Hazlet
PA swimmer breaks ten year old record
A record that stood at Pittston Area for the past ten years has been broken.
Pittston Area swimmer Samantha Scialpi recently swam the 100 yard back stroke in one minute and 6.67 seconds.
The record previously had been held by Carly Testa.
“Most swimmers can’t swim free style that fast,” Scialpi’s coach, Amy Hazlet said.
At this past Pittston Area Board meeting, Hazlet had a special presentation honoring Scialpi.
