Oliveri pleads out, more arrests to come

-    In Joe Oliveri’s plea agreement (click here to read), he has agreed to submit to polygraph tests.
   Here’s the catch – according to the agreement (see lines 24 thru 26) he agrees that the results are admissible.
   “The polygraph results and the polygrapher’s conclusions and opinions shall be admissible,” the agreement states.
   Let me read between the lines.
   Joe Oliveri doesn’t want to do any jail time.  In return he has agreed to name names.
   Those names will reach north to Duryea and Avoca and lead right to the courthouse.

  POSTED 10:00AM, TUESDAY:  Pittston Area School Director Joe Oliveri plead guilty in federal court Tuesday morning for accepting bribes and kickbacks.
   According the US Attorney’s office, Oliver, 51, of Hughestown, accepted $1,000 to $5,000 in bribes in return for support of an unnamed contractor.
   This past Monday, Oliver resigned his position he held with the Luzerne County Sheriff He also stepped down as a Pittston Area School Director.
   He faces a maximum of ten years in jail along with a $250,000 fine.
   Oliveri lost his re-election bid for the board this past May.
