Singer in minority on tech position
   With the arrest and indictment of Pittston Area School Board Superintendent Ross Scarantino, the complexion of the board seems to be changing a bit.
   While it seems like they are one big happy family publicly, don’t let that fool you.
   For example, the board recently contracted with the Jim Heffers to assist with the district’s technology.
   Heffers recently retired and handled the district technology.  He was actually a social studies teacher and retired under the teachers’ contract.
   With the mess Scranantino left, along with the allegations surrounding the some of the vendors, the district’s technology was left hanging. Read More ...

Aufiere balks at Dominick's offer
   November will be interesting on the West Side.
   As we know, new comer Mike Aufiere, pulled off a double knocking of Gerry Wall.
   Aufiere spent about 39 cents
   While he certainly worked hard, don’t think for one moment, however, he did this all on his own.
   He had the backing of some political horses.
   Political horses like Gil Dominick, Jimmy Blandina, PJ Pribula and Jimmy Dennis to name a few.  There are a handful of others that I’ll leave nameless at this time.
   When Gerry Wall and John LaNunziata were busy booting Jimmy Dennis and Dave Yarick off the ballot, Gil Dominick quietly switched his party affiliation to Independent.
   This made Dominick eligible to run in the fall as an Indpendent.
   Over the last couple weeks, Gil Dominick has been getting his ducks in a row for the fall.  Read More ...
